REQUIREMENTS
============

Windows OS (XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8)
Microsoft .NET framework 4.0

If you are running Windows XP, Vista or 7, make sure that Microsoft .NET framework 4.0 is installed on your computer. If you are running Windows 8, the right framework is already there.

INSTALLATION
============

Writemonkey is a portable application so no installation is necessary. To start using it, just copy Writemonkey folder from the zip file to any folder on your disk. It is highly recommended that you keep your installation in a directory for which you have administrator rights. If you are running wm from a limited Windows account, put wm on your Desktop or any other directory for which you are sure you have complete read / write privileges. You can freely copy it to the portable disk or USB thumb drive.

Run WriteMonkey.exe file and that's it.

UPGRADE FROM PREVIOUS VERSION
=============================

You can simply rewrite all application files. Be careful when overwriting directories - if you have previously downloaded additional dictionaries, plugins, templates and/or sound schemes, be sure to keep them. The same goes for saved profiles in "profiles folder".

** IMPORTANT **
If you are upgrading to version 2.7.0 from any previous version, be sure you also replace existing "dictionaries" folder with a new one. Old .dic files cannot be used with wm 2.7.

** IMPORTANT **
If you are upgrading to version 2.6.0 from a version previous to 2.4.0, your old settings won't be automatically kept. In order to preserve your settings do the following: export your current profile from old version (F9), replace existing wm installation files with new ones, then import the profile from the first step.
